Select Program
The principal objectives of the United Serbian Youth Soccer Club (USYSC) are player development and creating a family like atmosphere that will encourage your son or daughter to remain with the USYSC as they get older and progress to a higher more competitive level of soccer.  The coaches are taught and will emphasize player development, while teaching strategy and the tactical game of soccer which in the end leads to winning.  The USYSC wants the kids to learn the game of soccer develop his/her skills and develop the stamina, restraint and self-assurance to play the game at a very high level. 

Player Expectations – The game of soccer is not an individual sport but a team sport and requires a commitment from all players on the team to attend every practice and every game.  The will work hard together to improve his or hers team level of play. Your child should be able to follow instructions from the coaching staff and work hard during practices and games.  Players need to be responsible for bringing all appropriate equipment and uniforms to practices and games, including soccer shoes, shin guards, water or some form of hydration, soccer ball, etc.  Your child also needs to let his/her coach knows when they will miss a practice or a game, please do so as far in advance as possible. 

Practices – The fall season starts during the first week of August.  Practices are usually 90 minutes long two or three times a week.  Outdoor practice for fall will continue until the end of October.Indoor season will start in December.  We provide practice at the St Sava Church gymnasium once a week for one hour.The spring season usually starts the beginning of April.  Practices are usually 90 minutes long two or three times a week.  Outdoor practice for spring will continue until mid-June.

Games –All players will be placed in his/her appropriate age level within the select program.  The U-11’s will play in either the Metro Youth Regional Soccer League (MYRSL) or the Southeast Boys Classic League (SECL).   The U-12 to U-19 teams will play in either the MYRSL or the SECL.  The primary goal for each team U-12 and above is to play in the Boys or Girls State League.  Games will be played in southeastern Wisconsin.  Some teams may play league games in Madison, Appleton or Green Bay.  The games are usually held on Saturdays and Sundays.  There will be some weeknight games as well.  The home games will be at the following locations:
 
  • U-11 and U-12 – Whitman Park – 5205 West Plainfield Ave, Milwaukee
  • U-13 and U-14 – Hales Corners Park in the fall
  • U-13 to U-18 – United Serbian Field, 3201 South 51st St,

          Milwaukee in the spring

Tournaments – USYSC teams will participate in two (2) tournaments in the fall and at least two (2) in the spring.   All competitive level teams could travel to tournament involving weekend overnight travel.  All teams are required to participate in the USYSC Tournament held in the first weekend of June.

Fees –U-11 to U-18 - $270.00 per player plus a $100.00 parent commitment feeYour fees include:
 
  1. Uniform – which will be club property
  2. Tournaments – each team will be given a yearly budget to help pay for tournaments and indoor fees
  3. Indoor – practice time at St. Sava Church along with a minimum of one session of indoor.
Additional Charges:
 
  1. Additional Tournaments – if you use your budgeted money for tournaments, then parents would help pay for any additional tournaments the coach decides to enter.
  2. Indoor – if the coach decides to play extra sessions of indoor, this could be an added cost.
  3. Spirit wear – will be offered to purchase twice a year.
Please note:  High school girls’ teams play club soccer in the fall and High School boy’s teams play club soccer in the spring.

Parent Commitment Fee –The $100.00 parent commitment fee is returned to you at the end of the soccer season once you fulfill your club obligation of working four (4) volunteer hours for field maintenance, club fundraisers and tournament.

Tryouts –USYSC will hold tryouts for U-14 and younger teams in the early part of June.  Players should wear the appropriate soccer gear for the tryouts.  You can pre-register as you can find the forms online at www.usysc.com.  Any cancellations for tryouts due to weather conditions will be posted on the website as soon as possible, along with the new date of tryouts.  We strongly suggest that your child attend both sessions for his/her age group so the coaching staff can fully assess each attendee.USYSC will hold tryouts for U-15 and older in the later part of June. Players should wear the appropriate soccer gear for the tryouts.  You can pre-register as you can find the forms online at www.usysc.com.  Any cancellations for tryouts due to weather conditions will be posted on the website as soon as possible, along with the new date of tryouts.  We strongly suggest that your child attend both sessions for his/her age group so the coaching staff can fully assess each attendee.You will be notified after the tryouts whether or not you have officially made the team.  These offer dates are mandated by the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association so NO clubs should be making offers and accepting registration before these dates.

Signing Day –The second week of June will be the signing day which will be held at the St. Sava Cultural Center located at 3201 South 51st Street.  All players must be registered by this day which will be given to you once the offer is made to your child.
